Tourism and hotels in Italy – Italy has about 60.1 million tourist visitors in a year. In terms of international tourism, Italy is the fifth country with the most number of visitors. The reason why Italy is such a magnet for tourists are it’s rich food, culture, fashion, history and art. Northwest Italy

This is the location of the Italian Riviera, including Sanremo, Portofino as well as Cinque Terre. In this Italian region, there are lots of historic cities. They are:

Central Italy

Central Italy is the Italian region with the most tourists and visitors. It is the location of numerous famous tourists’ attractions in addition to highly attractive landscapes.
Rome –has all the remaining wonders from the Roman empire era. It also has several globally recognized landmarks like the Colosseum.

Southern Italy

The Southern Italy also is known as Mezzogiorno, is famous for its delicacies which have a broad range of foods at cheap prices. Southern Italy is also famous for the combination of the beautiful beaches of several regions with the Mediterranean climate. This is an essential element for tourism. Naples is a famous tourist destination here and it had the most visitors. The Pompeii ruins are the site with the most visitors in the area. Several other relevant tourist destinations are Ravello, the Amalfi Coast, Salerno, Pozzuoli, Caserta and the Amalfi coast.
